* How to Properly Burn your Candles

 1.         To achieve full burning potential, you must burn candle and refills long enough each time to melt the top layer of wax to container’s edge The candle industry standard is 1 hour per inch in diamater.  Burning your candle for small amounts of time causes pitting and reduces burn time.  If you burn for less than this time, try using a large, fully stretched out paper clip to scrap off warm wax residue on sides of jar so it can be reburned   Do this as it burns, not all at once.

2.         Make sure wick is straight before lighting.

3.         Keep your wicks trimmed to 1/4" at all times.

4.         Keep burning candles away from children, pets.

5.         Caution: Hot wax burns!

6.         Keep your candles away from drafts.  Drafts will cause your candle to burn unevenly and faster and may present a fire hazard.

7.         Place all burning candles on a flame-resistant surface.  Do not place a burning candle next to any flammable items.

8.         When trimming candles, do not leave trimmings in your wax, discard appropriately in the garbage.

9.         Never leave a burning candle unattended!

In order to blow out your candles, snuff your candles out as opposed to blowing them out.  Blowing out your candles may allow lit pieces of wick to land on something that is flammable!
